Taekwondo Taekwondo is a modern martial art, characterized by it's fast, high and spinning kicks. This martial art is appropriate for children ages 7 through 12 years old. We teach Taekwondo only to this specific age group. We are the experts in training children of all ages. There are multiple interpretations of the name Taekwondo. Disciplines of Taekwondo

Taekwondo has four disciplines:
  • Forms
  • Sparring
  • Self-defense (ONE STEPS)
  • Board Breaking
It is the combination of these four disciplines that make the art of Taekwondo.

Objectives of Taekwondo:

  1. To develop an appreciation for this American version of Taekwondo created by Grand Master Paul Le Blanc as a sport, art and self Improvement vessel.
  2. To achieve physical fitness through positive participation
  3. To improve mental discipline and emotional confidence
  4. To learn self-defense skills
  5. To develop a sense of responsibility for one self and others
To honor patriotism and family values. Taekwondo is primarily a kicking art, we also incorporate wrestling to make it more fun and exciting for the children. Taekwondo stylists tend to fight at an extended range and keep opponents away with their feet as well as using their hands. We also teach them wrestling (Jujitsu) as a ground defense. It is a hard/soft, external, fairly linear style and is known for being very powerful. Training, tends to emphasize self control, self confidence and self esteem. It also has forms, self defense, wrestling (Jujitsu)ground defense and a fun way to burn some energy.

What is Kickboxing?

Our style of kickboxing is unlike any other. This martial art is appropriate for ages 13 through adult. It is an eclectic style of kickboxing that incorporates Various styles of kicks with an American flair, as well as all the skills of Boxing, plus various self defense techniques including but not limited to locks, take downs such as in Aikido, ground fighting as in Jujitsu (MMA / UFC), pressure points, restraints, come alongs, hip throws as in Judo, common sense self defensive tactics and knife defense. It's a heart-pounding sweat-pouring fun and exciting workout that teaches practical self-defense skills. Our classes are designed to get the ultimate workout for both men and women. We are the first and longest established kickboxing center in East County San Diego. Le Blanc's Kickboxing Center is the only kickboxing studio known throughout the United States that offers an opportunity to earn a legitimate Black Belt in this Kickboxing System, as sanctioned by the American Martial Artists Association. San Diego`s best kept secret.

Disciplines of Kickboxing

Kickboxing has three disciplines:
  • Sparring
  • Self-defense
  • Break Test
It is the combination of these three disciplines that make the art of Kickboxing.

Objectives of Kickboxing:

  1. To develop an appreciation for Kickboxing as a sport, a self defense system and an American Art,
  2. To achieve physical fitness through positive participation,
  3. To improve mental discipline and emotional confidence.
  4. To learn practical self-defense skills and relieve stress.
  5. To develop a sense of responsibility for one self and others
This Kickboxing System is primarily an American martial art created by Grand Master Paul Le Blanc in 1993, with a greater emphasis on the physical and cardiovascular workout of the art, as well as a practical self defense approach while developing a more positive mental capacity. Kickboxing stylists tend to fight at an extended range, and keep opponents away with their feet. However, a Kickboxer is also well-versed with boxing skills should the range be broken and ground fighting techniques as in Jujitsu, MMA, UFC etc. It is a hard/soft, external, free-style and is known for being very powerful. Training tends to emphasize sparring and practical self-defense skills with a good physio cardiovascular workout. The combination of upper and lower body workout gives the student a fun and exciting workout burning hundreds of calories, which surpasses that of any gym or fitness center. We cater to our students by offering more one on one training then most studios, gyms or other karate facillities. Why pay for a personal trainer, when we include personal training to all our members at no additional cost.

What are Tiny Tigers ?

This version of Martial Arts was created by Grand Master Paul Le Blanc for the little ones ages 3 through 6 years old. We offer this class for those ages 16 years and above who do not want to fall victim in an attack that ends up on the ground. This style like MMA and UFC teaches all around defensive ground fighting tactics as well as stand up fighting skills. Not for the faint of heart and only offered twice a week.
